What is Biochar?
Biochar is the carbon which remains after heating cellulose material in the absence of oxygen. And is technically charcoal, usually of a small dimension.
It is 60 - 80%+ elemental carbon which remains after heating cellulose material in the absence of oxygen at high temperatures.
Biochar is the Black Gold of plant growth for many horticultural and agricultural species. It is also an excellent supplementary feed stock, mitigator of greenhouse gasses in air pollution, and inhibiter of water-borne pollution from wastewater and fertilizer leaching.
